Boundaries

Boundaries
In the summer of 2014, Victoria is sexually abused by the man who owns the restaurant where she works as a waitress. In response to the trauma, she begins filming with her newly purchased digital camera as a way of coping and regaining a sense of control. What initially starts as a private act of survival gradually shifts into something else: Victoria moves beyond the passive position of the “victim” and begins to occupy a more complex role. Through the camera, she becomes a trespasser, crossing boundaries, testing limits, and renegotiating the positions she has been forced into.
